Valerie Beck is Bob's wife and is the full-time managing  partner of the Inn. Prior to the construction of the Inn she  worked alongside her husband in their real estate  business and is a past president of the Calistoga  Chamber of Commerce. A Southern California girl, her  early career was in the LA fashion business. After a brief stay in Aspen, she settled in Sausalito where she and Bob met. Her love of art and fine home accessories led her to open Gloriosa, a popular home furnishings store in Calistoga. She has now brought Gloriosa on a smaller scale to the inn, with gift items available to the guests. Valerie enjoys the subtler art of innkeeping, balancing warm hospitality with an awareness of the guests' desire for privacy

Bob Beck Bob's life took many turns before ending up in  Calistoga, from a small South Dakota town to a Harvard  MBA; from a corporate executive in LA to a five-year  sailing trip in the Caribbean. He moved his real estate  business from Sausalito to Calistoga over 12 years ago  and immediately became active in civic affairs. Bob was a founding director of the Calistoga Education Foundation, a City Councilman, a founding director of the Calistoga Performing Arts Association and a director of several other community organizations. When he observed a need for upscale accommodations and a unique tree-covered site in the heart of Calistoga's spa district, he called his old friend Tom Stimpert.
